Is counselling right for you

Wondering if counselling is for you?

Ask yourself these questions:

  • Am I struggling to feel myself lately
  • Is life just feeling harder and harder everyday
  • I have lots of decisions to make and I cant get any clarity or trust myself
  • Is my worrying getting worse
  • Why am I being so irrational
  • Why don’t I have any interest in things anymore
  • Why am I not sleeping well
  • Why are my friends being different with me and keep asking if I’m ok
  • Am I keeping secrets and feeling ashamed
  • Am I comparing myself to others
  • Why do I feel worthless
  • Who do I trust that I can tell
  • Why cant I go out anymore without feeling anxious

These are some of the most common reasons that people end up seeking therapy.  All of these issues can lead to anxiety, depression and low self-esteem.

The most common reasons people fear counselling:

  • People will think I’m mad or crazy
  • What if people find out
  • Only weak people go to therapy
  • I don’t need counselling, my problems not serious enough
  • I can handle it by myself; I have to just get on with it, like people tell me.
  • Its embarrassing, I’m too ashamed or scared

If all of this sounds familiar and you are still unsure, get in contact. I offer a free consultation; this may help you decide if you will feel comfortable meeting with me and taking that first step to seek help.
